Well now, hep cats and holiday kittens, pull up a stool and lend an ear – because Tupelo Community Theatre is tuning up something positively swell.
I’m Kevin Steele, part of the crew for the upcoming production of Plaid Tidings – and baby, it’s going to be the bee’s knees. Think four-part harmonies, outfits sharp enough to slice a fruitcake, and good cheer stacked higher than a diner’s short-order of flapjacks.
If you’ve ever slipped a nickel into the jukebox and wished December could sound like satin lapels and close chords, you’re in the right spot. Plaid Tidings brings back the classic Forever Plaid spirit – the brotherhood, the blend, the just-this-side-of-square sparkle – but turned around into a holly-jolly groove.
So be prepared to grab your tickets when the curtains rise on December 11 – 13 – you’ll be immersed in holiday spirit that you can feel from the front row to the back of the balcony.
Update Schedule
Stay tuned through the month of November – we’ll be bringing you two posts per week, Tuesday and Friday, starting on the 4th of November.
Until then, catch a glimpse of director Jennifer Cummings putting the Plaids through their paces to perfect their heavenly harmonies. See you in December!
