Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings is coming to Tupelo Community Theatre! Here’s a summary of the plot:
Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings brings back the beloved harmony and humor of Forever Plaid wrapped up in a festive package with a big Christmas bow on top. This musical features classic holiday tunes as the boys return to Earth for one more heavenly performance.
Francis, Jinx, Smudge, and Sparky aren’t quite sure why they’ve been granted another encore – until a call from none other than Rosemary Clooney herself (from above!) reveals their mission: to bring a little harmony to a world sorely in need of it.
Between the heartfelt carols and playful banter, audiences are treated to classic favorites, including the famously frantic three-minute version of The Ed Sullivan Show, and there’s even a “Plaid Caribbean Christmas” that joyfully puts the “Day-O” in Excelsis!
A truly “heaven-sent” holiday celebration, Plaid Tidings fills the season with laughter, nostalgia, and timeless four-part harmony. With only four performers and a small combo, it’s an ideal holiday production – intimate, crowd-pleasing, and brimming with Christmas cheer.
