Happy Tuesday, cats and kittens – we’re back with another peek at what’s happening with Plaid Tidings at Tupelo Community Theatre!
Since last time, the set has started to come to life; platforms are rising, props are acquiring a plaid flair, and Christmas colors are making an appearance. Pictures to come soon!
Meanwhile, our four fellas have been polishing their steps and snaps. The Plaids are off book, running through the Acts and working on specific pieces of choreography as needed. They’ve been especially tuned in on the big prop-heavy showstoppers, like Christmas Calypso and the whirlwind Ed Sullivan Show.
Behind the curtain, those of us backstage have been doing our best to keep the flow going by organizing and handing off props to the Plaids during those big numbers. One of my others jobs on Sunday was working on a creative method of getting the fellas a couple of notes from their Heavenly Helpers during the show – I think I did pretty well. You’ll know it when you see it.
And now an introduction from John Carroll as Frankie:
The curtains part on December 11th and the Plaids will bring the harmony home – the excitement’s really cooking now! We hope your Thanksgiving table is surrounded by folks you dig and plenty of second helpings. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
See you on Friday with a musical sneak peek!
