Hope you’re having a happy Tuesday morning hep cats – I’ve sure got something swell to share with you.
Since Friday, the Plaids have met up twice. They’ve been getting put through their paces preparing for the show – the books are being put away, and the production is on its way to getting run its entirety on each rehearsal.
On Sunday, props came out to play:
After having a little fun, the Plaids worked their way through Act 2 up until the Ed Sullivan number, stopping as needed to perfect their choreography and harmonies.
Then on Monday, the Plaids picked up where they left off, running through the big Ed Sullivan number several times – only this time, the fellas had backstage helpers to give them a hand (including yours truly) as the props get integrated in. Once they polished that big number, they restarted the production over from Act 1 and ran it through up to Christmas Calypso.
And now what we promised on Friday – meet Cadley Burns, playing Smudge:
Stick around, friends – over the coming 23 days until the premier, the fellas will be running the production start to back every single rehearsal to perfect these holiday harmonies. Next time we’ll be dropping an introduction for Justin Smith, playing Sparky.
See you Friday!
