Plaids In The Making – Fourth Entry
Step right up, cool cats and Christmas kittens-your favorite behind-the-scenes broadcast is back on the air! The rehearsal hall at Tupelo Community Theatre has been buzzing and our Plaids are tuning up to bring you a holiday program.
Sunday’s session was a real swing-a-ding-ding: crisp choreography and close-harmony polish on “Cool Yule,” with Francis (John Carroll) keeping the blend tidy, Jinx (Chad Logan) floating those butter-smooth tops, Sparky (Justin Smith) snapping the groove into place, and Smudge (Cadley Burns) anchoring the whole shebang like a pro.
Feast your peepers on a teensy tease of the fun being had on set during rehearsal Sunday:
Monday night? Daddy-O, it was brisk out there. While trying to beat the chill, the fellas mapped out the moves for our Perry Como Christmas special segment: clean lines, classic TV charm, and that easy-breezy polish Mr. C made famous. Then, as the thermometer tiptoed below freezing, Smudge stepped forward with “Let It Snow.” Picture it: frosty windows, warm lights, and a bass that melts like cocoa.
Circle your calendars, cats: this Friday we’ll start spinning out short intro reels from the Plaids themselves, alongside a preview of “Cool Yule.”
Stay tuned, friends. The dial is set, the needle’s steady, and Plaid Tidings is spinning toward showtime with the sparkle of a star at the top of the tree.
