Forever Plaid is a joyful, tongue-in-cheek jukebox musical that pays tribute to the close-harmony “guy groups” of the 1950s. It tells the story of four earnest young men – Sparky, Jinx, Smudge, and Francis – who dream of making it big as a singing quartet. But on the eve of their first big break, fate intervenes – their car collides with a bus full of Catholic schoolgirls headed to see The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show.

The accident leaves the boys stranded in a limbo between life and afterlife, where they’re granted one miraculous chance to return to Earth and perform the show they never got to sing.

Filled with quick wit, playful choreography, and heart-on-sleeve charm, between songs the Plaids share memories, insecurities, and brotherly banter that reveals their warmth and humanity. This jukebox musical is a loving celebration of friendship, innocence, and the timeless magic of harmony as four voices find resolution in one perfect, final chord.
