Almost, Maine | Phil

In January of 2026, I premiered in my first named speaking role on stage. I played the role of Phil during Tupelo Community Theatre’s production of Almost, Maine. This play features a series of romantic stories happening at the same time, in the same general location – a small town located in Maine that doesn’t quite exist.

In the production, my character is an overworked man who tends to zone out and ‘go away,’ while constantly trying to problem solve – even when the moment requires just sitting there in the moment.

I made the scarves (seen below) worn by me and my scene mate, Denise Truscott playing Marci.

My Cast Bio

In our scene, Phil and Marci just finished ice skating and are getting ready to head home. Phil has forgotten something significant and it’s making Marci mad, but she is determined not to communicate what exactly it is… until she can’t help herself.

The cast was made up of nineteen people. This was my first time taking to any stage as a named and speaking role, so it took a lot of practice but was very fun.

I had so much fun with all my TCT friends and can’t wait to take part in the next production!
